TransAction Associates operates a number of on-site employer commuter programs in eight states. One major service provided by the company is Ridematching. Over the years, the company has used a number of ridematching software applications. In 2004, TransAction partnered with VivaCommute to develop an internet-based application to serve our clients. As a result, TransAction became the sole distributor for the New England area. We continue to work with VivaCommute to improve the application and broaden its potential uses. This easy-to-use program enables employees to quickly determine if they match with others who have similar commuting hours and patterns. Because this system is internet-based, the employee receives a personalized match list of commuters within seconds of submitting the required initial information. There is also an administrative module that is password-protected to determine if there are enough matching employees to form vanpools.
