What Is Neighborhood Watch?

Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the active participation of residents in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime, solve problems, and improve the quality of life in your area.  In it you will get to know and work with your neighbors, and learn how to:

• Recognize and report crimes and suspicious activities

• Protect yourself, your family, and your property,

• Protect your neighbor’s family and property, and

• Identify crime and disorder problems in your area and work with our personnel to solve them.

Join Our Online Neighborhood Watch Community

The Anderson City Police Department is taking Neighborhood watch online. It’s simple, fast and FREE to join. Simply register yourself as a member of the online community by completing the form to the right. And once you are logged into the community, click on the Groups button to see if your neighborhood has created a group, if not, create your own neighborhood group and invite your neighbors to join.

• Network with your neighbors and others citizens in Anderson.

• Foster a good working rapport with area law enforcement.

• Post crime alerts and register to receive alerts from other citizens.

• Share success stories with other citizens.
