Summer should be fun for your children! However, ASP thinks that summer should also be about learning. Read this excerpt from author Malcolm Gladwell’s
Outliers. It shows how rich and poor kids on an average start school off at about the same reading level. They learn roughly the same amount during the school year. However, the rich kids continue learning in the summer while the poor and middle class do not. Therefore, “virtually all of the advantage that wealthy students have over poor students is the result of differences in the way privileged kids learn while they are not in school.” ASP tries to level the playing field for all its students by continuing education in the summer.
ASP offers education classes from 9:00 to 12:00 every day in the summer taught by certified teachers or 4 year degreed professionals.

We have a ½ hour reading period every day where we are trying to teach the kids the love for reading.
ASP then offers three 1.5 hour camps from 12:30 to 5:00. Last year we offered these camps.
