ASP will teach your children how to play soccer with a concentration on:

Ball Skills

Dribbling a ball. Students will spend most of their time dribbling a soccer ball and coaches will demonstrate the proper techniques of dribbling (Each player will need a ball.)

Trapping a ball with a child’s foot, chest, thigh, and head

Kicking a ball properly. It is shocking how children who have played soccer for many years can not kick a ball properly&

The Game

Students will learn about goal kicks, corner kicks, indirect, direct kicks, off sides etc.

Players will learn about runs, positions and spacing

Fields

ASP has irrigated Bermuda practice fields on site.

Fun

ASP will make the game fun. ASP students who are 5 and 6 do not have a long attention span so we keep practice moving by playing games with a concentration on ball skills but allowing for lots of fun.

Even with older kids, we keep the practice moving with a concentration on technique (ball skill) so that when your child has the foundation of soccer skills he or she can become a good player. Also, in practice, we try to refrain from lines as much as possible so that players are constantly moving.

CESA

ASP’s U10 team plays in the CESA rec. league. The up-state is very fortunate to have such a great soccer club. They have professional trained coaches and beautiful fields. It is well organized and it gives your child the opportunity to become the best player he or she can possible become. Whether your child only wants to have a fun time playing soccer or become a good high school player or become a college player, CESA gives your child the opportunity to reach his or her’s potential.
